Matthew Guenette
Founder
I’m Matt Guenette, owner of FitClub Wellesley. I grew up in Shrewsbury and graduated from Johnson & Wales University in 2010. That same year I started coaching with Boston Sports Clubs-eventually managing the Wellesley location and several downtown Boston clubs.
Eight years on the floor taught me what truly drives results: consistent coaching, smart programming, and a community that makes showing up easier. In 2018 I purchased FitClub Wellesley to build exactly that-an inclusive, progress-focused gym where training fits real life. Our approach blends strength, conditioning, and functional movement with coaching that meets you where you are, from beginners to advanced. This community is personal for me.
I’m the current President of the Wellesley Fathers Forum, and I see every day how strong, supportive communities change lives-at home and in the gym. My wife, Gabrielle, and our three kids-Caleb, Sophia, and Holden-are part of this same network of people cheering one another on. My goal is the same for every member as it is for my family: Move better. Feel better. Live better.

Benley Jean
Benley comes to us with over a decade of personal training and fitness management experience. He’s worked in gyms across Boston and specializes in corrective, functional training programs designed to help people move better and feel stronger. With a background in both one-on-one and group coaching, plus years of experience in fitness equipment consulting, Benley brings a well-rounded perspective to training. His passion for helping people reach their goals shines through in every session.
Olivia Craig
Liv (Olivia) brings high energy and a love for movement to the coaching floor. With a background in dance, fitness instruction, and group training, she knows how to make workouts both effective and fun. She’s Spinning® certified, teaches a variety of formats, and also leads yoga-inspired mobility classes that focus on flexibility, balance, and recovery. Liv creates inclusive, motivating environments where members feel supported and challenged. Her creativity, attention to detail, and coaching style make her a perfect addition to our team.
William Karafelis
Will has been part of the FitClub Wellesley team since October 2020, bringing unmatched energy, expertise, and enthusiasm to every session he leads. His favorite muscle groups to train are the lower body and Olympic lifts, and if you walk into one of his classes, there’s a good chance you’ll hear Ke$ha powering through the speakers. Known for his enthusiastic, encouraging, and knowledgeable coaching style, Will pushes members to perform their best while keeping the energy high and the environment positive. Clients appreciate his high energy, positive attitude, and the challenging, results-driven workouts he delivers every time they step into class. Outside of coaching, Will helps lead FitClub’s group training program and keeps the community engaged and motivated – both in and out of the gym.
Elizabeth Senra
Elizabeth joined FitClub in April 2025, bringing with her a strong background in physical therapy and a lifelong love of movement through dance and sports. Her approach is open, adaptable, and organized, helping clients feel supported and challenged every step of the way. She specializes in mobility training and post-injury rehabilitation, combining her technical expertise with a thoughtful, individualized coaching style. Elizabeth’s sessions are designed to help members move better, recover stronger, and feel their absolute best.
Daniel Metser
Daniel joins us with a degree in Athletic Training from Quinnipiac University and over 400 clinical hours working with college and high school athletes. In addition to training clients at the West Suburban YMCA, he’s the founder of DMHoops, a basketball development company, and he brings deep experience in biomechanics, rehab, and holistic training. Whether coaching on the court or working one-on-one, Daniel emphasizes long-term growth through smart, sustainable habits.
Kyle Thistle-Pierce
Kyle Thistle-Pierce is a dedicated strength and conditioning coach at FitClub (since February 2025) who specializes in developing young athletes and leading high-energy group classes; he blends motivational coaching with sound movement mechanics and sport-specific skill work to build strength, confidence, and team culture in an inclusive, results-driven setting.
Stephan Lombardi
Stephan Lombardi is a motivational, results-driven coach with deep experience in both group and 1:1 training, known for building client confidence and delivering clear progress through smart programming. Before joining FitClub Wellesley in August 2024, he coached and taught at Afterburn Fitness, Title Boxing Club, Anytime Fitness, and Diablo Boxing, developing specialties in mobility, kettlebell and steel mace training, boxing/kickboxing, and conditioning, along with accountability and mindfulness strategies that keep clients consistent. A Framingham native and Eagle Scout, Stephan blends technical coaching with a supportive, upbeat style that meets every client where they are and helps them move, feel, and perform better.

At FitClub Wellesley, we use proven, no-frills tools that deliver results. Our floor features squat racks and barbells, bumper plates, adjustable dumbbells, kettlebells, and heavy slam balls; Concept2 rowers and SkiErgs; air bikes; TRX suspension trainers; plyometric boxes; sleds and battle ropes; resistance bands and mobility gear. Whether you’re in bootcamp or personal training, we’ve got the equipment to meet you where you are and push you forward!

FitClub Wellesley is a 7,000-sq-ft, open-layout space built for focused training. The floor features a full rig with squat racks, a turf lane for sleds and agility, and a dedicated personal-training area designed for private, distraction-free sessions-from young athlete development to joint-friendly strength, balance, and mobility-plus ample room for fast-moving bootcamps. Sunlit, well-ventilated, and spotless, it’s built to keep you moving. We also offer top-notch locker rooms to clean up and reset!
